This is me. I was on Facebook earlier, and I saw some people refer my group, my friends, my peers as “drama kids.” Maybe I’m just being sensitive, but how degrading and childish. This is called a stereotype. All through Jr. High and High School, I have walked around thinking I didn’t really fit into one, but now I realize I have…and to be called out negatively over something I am very passionate about, hurts. I now know what it feels like to be talked about. To raise awareness (and help myself) I took this picture. I would proudly wear this on my collar bone everyday if I had to. Although, I would rather be respected for my talent and my art and my success, then downgraded to a simple, “drama kid.” I promise to banish stereotypes. (PS.
